You are free to book routine appointments with the doctor of your choice. Some of the doctors do not work full time and there may therefore be a wait for appointments with these particular doctors.
Please be aware that our appointments are 10 minutes long. Although we try to run on time, please be patient if we are running late. If you are late for your appointment you may be asked to wait until the end of surgery, or to make a new appointment
Urgent on the day
If you need to see a doctor on the day please telephone us as soon as possible after 8.30am. The Receptionist will ask you to tell them briefly the nature of your problem. Your name will be placed on the triage list. The Day Duty Doctor will review all requests and you will be contacted by a member of the Practice team to advise the action taken. This maybe to offer you an appointment to see a Doctor/Practice Nurse, a telephone consultation with a Doctor or you could be signposted to an alternative NHS service e.g. Pharmacist.
Please remember "on the day" appointments are for urgent matters.
You can book a routine appointment up to 4 weeks in advance with a Doctor, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant of your choice.
Our Practice offers online access for appointment booking and prescription ordering - please speak to Reception to sign up for this.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the appointment slot to someone else.
During normal surgery opening hours please contact the surgery on 01485 572769 we will see all medical emergencies on the day. There will be a doctor on call for emergencies or for urgent advice.
If you wish to have telephone advice from a doctor, please contact Reception before 11.30am. We will always try to put you in contact with your preferred doctor, but if he/she is not available and you wish to speak to a doctor on that day your name will be placed on the triage list for the Day Duty Doctor. Please leave a contact number where you will be available.
